PLArdNING COMMISSION <br />Page 2 <br />Commissioner Lindsey suggested Mr. Belecky come back in two <br />weeks to address any comments he may have about Mr. Doherty <br />directly to Mr. Doherty. <br />REVISIONS OR OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Item 5a, PUD-83-6, Regis Homes, Inc., et al has been withdrawn <br />by the applicant. Item 6a, UP-83-9, Alberta Barrious and Tony <br />Souza, has also been withdrawn by the applicant. Item 6c, <br />PUD-83-7, Holiday Inns, Inc., et al. was continued to May 11, 1983. <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />Commissioner Jamieson asked staff to look into an ordinance <br />regarding hazardous waste similar to that of Sunnyvale. Mr. <br />Swift indicated staff is already working on this matter and <br />the Fire Department has been working with the County of Santa <br />Clara and there should be a City ordinance ready for review <br />very shortly. <br />Commissioner Lindsey referred to a letter from the Chamber <br />regarding outside display and Mr. Harris indicated staff is <br />working with the Chamber to bring forth a compromise which <br />should be ready for Commission review in a couple of weeks. <br />OLD BUSINESS - Public Hearings <br />There was none. <br />NEW BUSINESS - Public Hearings <br />PUD-83-3, Meadow Plaza Associates <br />pp ication o Mea ow P aza Associates for PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development) zoning and development plan approval for a 126- <br />unit multi-family residential complex on an approximately <br />six acre site located east of the Exxon Station at the <br />southeast corner of j--Jest Las Positas Boulevard and Santa <br />Rita Road. Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development)-Commercial and Offices District. A mitigated <br />negative declaration of environmental impacts will also be <br />considered. <br />Mr. Harris reviewed the staff report and indicated staff was <br />recommending three additional conditions to the project <br />regarding right-of-way acquisitions for Santa Rita Road <br />improvements and a bus stop. There was some discussion <br />regarding placement of the proposed bus stop as Commissioner <br />Jamieson expressed concern over its location due to possible <br />traffic hazards. Commissioner Getty was also concerned <br />about traffic coming in and out of the Exxon Station. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />
