MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />City Council Chambers <br />200 Bernal Avenue <br />Wednesday, April 27, 1983 <br />8:00 p.m. <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Larry Lindsey at <br />8:00 p.m. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flan was recited. <br />Rf1T.T. ('.AT.T. <br />Commissioners Present: Al Arrinoni, Joyce Getty, William <br />Jamieson and Chairperson Lindsey <br />Commissioners Absent: Grey; Doherty and DeWitt Wilson <br />Staff Members Present: Robert J. Harris, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development; Robert L. Warnick, <br />Director of Public Works and Utilities; <br />Brian W. Swift, Assistant City Attorney; <br />and Peggy Ezidro, Temporary Recording <br />Secretary <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the April 13, 1983 meeting were approved unanimously. <br />MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADnRESS THE COMMISSION <br />ON ANY ITEM WHICH IS NOT ALREADY ON THE AGENDA <br />Frank Belecky, 892 Madeira Drive, address the Commission with <br />specific comments to Commissioner Getty and Commissioner Doherty <br />regarding their actions in the recent referendum election. He <br />felt they had misused their position as Planning Commissioners <br />in supporting the development due to the amount of money involved. <br />Commissioner Jamieson indicated he had used his position to <br />oppose the development, however Mr. Belecky felt that since <br />the referendum was a citizens' group and not funded, this was <br />justifiable. <br />Commissioner Getty indicated the Planning Commissioners had <br />a right to voice their opinions as citizens and she objected <br />to Mr. Belecky implying that she was "on the take." <br />Mr. Richard Rather, 3171 Chardonnay, spoke in support of Mr. <br />Belecky's remarks. <br />
