PLANNING COMMISSION
Page 11
5/11/83
Mr. Harris presented the staff report res;arding this application.
The public hearing was opened.
Mr. Martin Inderbitzen, 62 West Neal Street, appeared on behalf
of the applicant and generally supported the staff recommendations.
He did question conditions 10, 19, 20 and ?_1, which referred to
suspension of use of the septic tank and mandated connection
to the sewer system with construction of the appropriate improvements.
He did not feel this was fair since the other properties in the
area are not likely to develop and the Yee's would have the
entire burden of the cost of construction.
Commissi_o~.er T°Tilson suggested a possible solution of allowing
one septic tank, but if the other parcels developed, all .four
would be required to hook up to the sewer.
Bob jJarnick indicated this was steer property with
geologic problems and he has strong feelings that no more water
should be added to the property therefore septic tanks are
not appropriate.
Mr. Inderbitzen indicated a drainage system could be constructed
that would drain off more water than would be added by the septic
tank.
The public hearing was closed.
A motion was made by Commissioner Jamieson, seconded by
Commissioner Wilson, that the mitigated negative declaration
prepared for the application for case MS-82-4 be recommended
for approval inasmuch as conditions imposed in the project
approval would reduce any significant impacts to an insignificant
level.
ROLL CALL VOTE
AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Jamieson, ZJilson and
Chairman Lindsey
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
Resolution No. 2303 was entered and adopted recommending approval
of the mitigated negative declaration prepared for subdivision
of 51 acres into four parcels, Case MS-82-4.
There was then discussion about allowing one septic tank with
the provision that if any other property developed, then all
four parcels would share the cost of the sewer installation.
Commissioner Wilson also advised staff to look into the possibility
Tom.- ........ .......... ..~..~ .....-.,_.... ..~... .... ... .... ~. „... .
