MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />June 8, 1983 <br />A motion was then made by Commissioner Wilson, seconded by Commissioner <br />Doherty that case GP-83-2 be recommended for approval subject to the <br />conditions shown in the staff report dated 6/8/83. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Lindsey, Wilson <br />and Chairman Jamieson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Resolution No. 2313 was entered and adopted recommending approval of <br />case GP-83-2 as motioned. <br />UP-83-14, Frank Auf der Maur <br />Application of Frank Auf der Maur fora conditional use permit to allow the <br />operation of a contractor's office and storage yard utilizing an existing <br />structure at 3610 Old Santa Rita Road. Zoning for the property is <br />C-S (Commercial Service) District. <br />Mr. Harris presented the staff report recommending approval. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Frank Auf der Maur, the applicant spoke urging approval of his application. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />Commissioner Doherty asked if the nursery property is also zoned C-S. <br />Mr. Harris stated that it is. Commissioner Doherty then asked if Mr. <br />Skinner had made an application for a similar use. Mr. Harris indicated <br />that there were no applications pending to his knowledge. The Assistant <br />City Attorney stated that he and Mr. Glenn of the Planning Division have <br />been working with Mr. Skinner on this. <br />Commissioner Wilson made a motion seconded by Commissioner Lindsey to <br />approve case UP-83-14 subject to the staff report but that no storage of <br />large equipment will be allowed on the site. <br />Commissioner Doherty indicated that the last condition imposed conjures <br />up problems such as those of Valley Business Park regarding definitions <br />of equipment, trucks, etc. Commissioner Getty referred to the Dillingham <br />project an Johnson Drive, where equipment can clearly be seen from public roads. <br />Mr. Auf der Maur indicated that he is currently negotiating with a roofing <br />contractor on a month-by-month rental basis but cannot consummate the <br />negotiations until the City gives its approvals for the use. <br />Commissioner Wilson withdrew his motion and Commissioner Lindsey withdrew <br />his second. <br />A motion was then made by Commissioner Wilson seconded by Commissioner <br />Lindsey that case UP-83-14 be approved as all required findings are made <br />-11- <br />__. _. .. ............ ._ _...__ -_w.~. _ _.,... _ _ __ . ..,, _. __ _ ___ .. __. ._ <br />
