MINUTES PLANNING COMMISSION June 8, 1982 ROLL CALL VOTE AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Lindsey and Wilson NOES: Chairman Jamieson ABSENT: None. ABSTAIN: None Resolution No. 2311 was entered and adopted recommending approval of case PUD-83-9 as motioned. Chairman Jamieson indicated he voted no because of the density. GP-83-2, Leisure Sports, Inc./Vorelco, Inc. Application of Vorelco, Inc. and Leisure Sports, Inc. to amend the general plan land use designations from General and Limited Industrial to Industrial/Commercial and Offices for approximately 23 acres located at the southeast corner of I-580 and I-680 in the vicinity of 7090 Johnson Drive. Mr. Harris presented the staff report recommending approval. The public hearing was opened. Steve Gilmour, Leisure Sports, Inc. was present stating he has received and read the staff report. Commissioner Wilson asked Mr. Gilmour if he understood the conditions. Mr. Gilmour responded, that he did and that they would be required to participate in the North Pleasanton Assessment Districts for water and utilities. No one else addressed this item and the public hearing was closed. Commissioner Wilson and Mr. Harris then discussed hotel proposals within the City. h1r. Harris indicated that the change in land use designation will not make much difference in the area. A motion was made by Commissioner Getty seconded by Commissioner Lindsey that the Mitigated Negative Declaration prepared for case GP-83-2 be adopted inasmuch as conditions imposed upon project approval would reduce any potentially significant adverse. effects to an insignificant level.
