r. <br />MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />JULY 13, 1983 <br />Page 10 <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Getty, seconded by Commissioner <br />Wilson that approval of case GP-83-4 would have no significant <br />adverse effect on the environment and recommended that the <br />Negative Declaration prepared by staff be approved. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Lindsey, <br />Wilson and Chairman Jamieson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Resolution No. 2330 was adopted recommending approval of <br />the Negative Declaration prepared for case GP-83-4 as motioned. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Doherty, seconded by <br />Commissioner Wilson that case GP-83-4 be recommended for <br />approval as requested. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Lindsey, <br />Wilson and Chairman Jamieson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Resolution No. 2331 was entered and adopted recommending <br />approval of case GP-83-4 as requested. <br />MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEW <br />Policy on Banks in the Downtown Area <br />Commissioner Lindsey stepped down from this item and Alternate <br />Commissioner Arrigoni took his place. <br />Mr. Harris presented the staff report and explained the request <br />of Coast Federal Savings for a waiver of Resolution No. 73-34. <br />Commissioner Wilson asked if the subject resolution was adopted <br />before or after Wells Fargo Bank came to the Amador Shopping <br />Center. Mr. Harris indicated it was adopted after and Commissioner <br />Lindsey, from the audience, felt it was built in approximately <br />1966. <br />Commissioner Wilson asked for clarification as to what the <br />"Downtown Area" includes. Mr. Harris advised that generally <br />speaking it is everything from Main Street at the railroad <br />tracks both north and south, from First Street on the east to <br />Peters on the west, but that there are different boundaries <br />depending on the topic of discussion. <br />-10- <br />
