MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEW Policy on Banks in the Downtown Area Commissioner Lindsey stepped down from this item and Alternate Commissioner Arrigoni took his place. Mr. Harris presented the staff report and explained the request of Coast Federal Savings for a waiver of Resolution No. 73-34. Commissioner Wilson asked if the subject resolution was adopted before or after Wells Fargo Bank came to the Amador Shopping Center. Mr. Harris indicated it was adopted after and Commissioner Lindsey, from the audience, felt it was built in approximately 1966. Commissioner Wilson asked for clarification as to what the "Downtown Area" includes. Mr. Harris advised that generally speaking it is everything from Main Street at the railroad tracks both north and south, from First Street on the east to Peters on the west, but that there are different boundaries depending on the topic of discussion. -10-
