MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
July 27, 1983
Page 8
plan' properly shows what the parking is. Mr. Harris felt that they will
be able to get six parking spaces in front; three next to the fence and
three next to the building. Commissioners Getty and Lindsey asked for
an explanation. Mr. Elkins explained that the parking shown on the drawing
indicates parking as it is today, without the curbs and gutters and that
the City Engineer has indicated he would permit improvements after the
permanent installation of these improvements and that they would have three
parking spaces in front of the building parallel to the curb. He said
that on the north side there is a PT&T right-of-way and they still can get
the parking in.
Mr. Swift addressed the parking issue and the condition of the Design
Review Board which states parking will meet City Code requirements.
Commissioner Wilson agreed there was plenty of parking but was afraid the
condition imposed would be one the applicant could not meet.
A motion was made by Commissioner Doherty, seconded by Commissioner Wilson
that all required findings are made (as enumerated in the staff report
dated 7/27/83) and that case UP-83-20 be approved subject to the conditions
of the staff report modifying Conditions No. 1, 8 and 9 to read as follows:
1. That the development be substantially as shown on the site
plan and .elevations, Exhibit A, on file with the Planning
Division except that parking in front of the building and fenced
area shall be modified to approximately 6 parallel spaces, all
meeting City Code.
8. That when required by the City Engineer, the developer pay the required
sanitary sewer fees and $7,339 for Old Santa Rita Road Sanitary
Sewer Benefit District to the City, install a sanitary sewer lateral
to the site, and properly abandon the existing septic tank. It is
anticipated that this will be required when the site is permanently
developed.
9. That when required by the City Engineer, the developer pay any
applicable water main extension reimbursement fee, install a
standard service with meter, and pay the applicable water meter
fees. It is anticipated that this will be required when the site
is permanently developed.
ROLL CALL VOTE
AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Lindsey, Wilson
and Chairman Jamieson
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
Resolution No. 2340 was entered and adopted approving case UP-83-20 as
motioned.
-S-
