MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />July 27, 1983 <br />Page 7 <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />Commissioner .Wilson was concerned with traffic on First Street and <br />shared Commissioner Getty's concern with this. Mr. Harris told the <br />Commission that the entrance will be on Abbie Street and not First Street. <br />Chairman Jamieson brought up the subject of having a crossing guard <br />again and Mr. Hagler didn't feel one would be necessary because the <br />children would be brought to the facility by their parents. <br />Commissioner Getty wanted to know this the proposed uses would generate <br />a lot more traffic. Mr. Harris felt that if all people drove, there would <br />be 200-250 trips per day from the private school and approximately 150 <br />from the Hill and Dale School. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Lindsey, Seconded by Commissioner <br />Doherty that all required findings (as shown in the staff report 7/27/83) <br />are made and that Case UP-83-22 be approved subject to the conditions <br />shown on the staff report. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Lindsey, Wilsor. <br />and Jamieson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Resolution No. 2339 was entered and adopted approving case UP-83-22 <br />as motioned. <br />UP-83-20, William Skinner and Earl Adams <br />Application of William Skinner and Earl Adams for conditional use permit <br />approval to develop and operate a contractor's storage facility at <br />3654 Old Santa Rita Road incorporating existing proposed improvements to <br />the site. Zoning for the property is C-S (Commercial Service) District. <br />Mr. Harris presented the staff report recommending approval with changes <br />to Conditions No. 8 and 9 as submitted by staff at this meeting. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Dave Elkins, representing Messrs. Skinner and Adams addressed the <br />Commission. He concurred with the modification to Conditions No. 8 and <br />9 as presented by staff and asked that Condition No. 7 be 4ccomplished <br />when permanent public improvements are done in the area. Mr. Warnick <br />indicated "...as required by the City Engineer" covers this adequately. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />Commissioner Wilson addressed the parking as shown on the development plan. <br />Mr. Harris stated that the employees will have plenty of parking in the back. <br />Commissioner Wilson did not feel that 'substantially as shown on the development <br />-7- <br />
