James Cross for a minor modification of a conditional
use permit to operate an automotive service facility at 44 Mission
Drive. Zoning for the property is CF (Commercial Freeway)
District.
Mr. Harris presented the staff report recommending approval.
Mr. James Cross, 821 Sylvaner, stated he concurs with the conditions
and recommendations of the City staff.
Chairman Jamieson asked if there are any other stations in
town which do wheel alignments and have their equipment outside.
Mr. Cross said he did not know of any. Chairman Jamieson then
asked why this apparatus was not installed in one of the stalls.
Mr. Cross said it would eliminate his working area which has
the hydraulic lifts. Mr. Cross stated his calibration equipment
would go inside each evening and the only thing which would
be permanently outside would be the brackets for the devices.
Chairman Jamieson then asked if moving calibration equipment
damaged it. Mr. Cross said it does not.
Commissioner Lindsey complimented Mr. Cross with changing the
previous eyesore on the site and making it a very attractive
use. Chairman Jamieson then inquired how well the business
was doing and Mr. Cross said it is progressing very well and
in fact they do work for the City of Pleasanton and it is
now necessary to subcontract out all of their wheel alignments.
The public hearing was closed.
A motion was made by Commissioner Lindsey, seconded by Commissioner
Getty that case UP-82-24-1M be approved subject to the conditions
of the staff report.
ROLL CALL VOTE
AYES: Commissioners Arrigoni, Getty,
Lindsey and Chairman Jamieson
NOES: None
ABSENT: Commimssioners Doherty and Wilson
ABSTAIN: None
Resolution No. 2359 was entered and adopted approving case
UP-82-24-1M as motioned.
GP-83-8, Cit of Pleasanton
Application o the City o Pleaanton to amend the general plan
land use designation from High Density Residential to Medium
Density Residential, or any other designation deemed in the
public interest for a 6.6 acre site located at the southwest
corner of Stoneridge Drive and I-680.
