Minutes <br />Planning Commission <br />9/28/83 <br />Page 4 <br />Commissioner Getty asked whether or not there were any spaces <br />left to rent at 4750 First Street. Mr. Harris stated he believed <br />there are a couple of spaces left and this use permit would <br />let them rent out the remaining two or three classrooms but <br />only for the uses discussed. Commissioner Lindsey asked if <br />staff felt additional lighting is appropriate. Commissioner <br />Getty restated that the media services center is extremely <br />dark. Commissioner Lindsey said there are lights there, they <br />just weren't turned on. Mr. Ananos stated that this is correct, <br />the lights are there. Chairman Jamieson felt that when the <br />premises are used at nights the lights should be turned on. <br />Mr. Harris stated the Planning Commission could add an additional <br />conditions concerning lights. <br />A motion was made by Commimssioner Lindsey, seconded by Commissioner <br />Arrigoni that all findings as shown in the staff report as <br />A, B, and C are made and that case UP-83-21 be approved subject <br />to the conditions shown on the staff report, plus an additional <br />condition "That lighting acceptable to the Police Department <br />shall be provided around the perimeters of all buildings on <br />the subject property." <br />Chairman Jamieson stated <br />very important and that <br />should take care of the <br />short staffed but hoped <br />watered and mowed. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />he feels the upkeep of the area is <br />the City, School District or someone <br />grounds. He realized everyone was <br />that at least the grounds would be <br />AYES: Commissioners Arrigoni, Getty, <br />Lindsey and Chairman Jamieson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Commissioners Doherty and Wilson <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Resolution No. 2355 was entered and adopted approving case <br />UP-83-21 as motioned. <br />UP-83-31, Valley Memorial Hospital <br />Application of Valley Memorial Hospital for conditional use <br />permit approval to operate an approximately 114 bed, 102,000 <br />sq. ft., two story hospital and a 44,600 sq. ft. three story <br />medical office building and related facilities on an approximately <br />21 acre site at the northwest corner of West Las Positas Boulevard <br />and Santa Rita Road. Zoning for the property is "P" (Public <br />and Institutional) District. <br />Mr. Harris presented the staff report recommending approval <br />and stated it is staff's opinion that all findings can be made <br />to grant this approval. <br />The public hearing was opened., <br />-4- <br /> <br />
