MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
10/12/83
Page 2
Mr. Harris stated that individual mike racks might be put
in parallel to the building to avoid congestion.
Commissioner Lindsey asked the applicant if he would prefer
to have a bike rack. Mr. Winter said he would. Mr. Winter
suggested it could be put in the handicap parking. The Commissioners
didn't feel this would be appropriate. Mr. Harris stated that
handicap parking cannot be eliminated. He suggested that the
cement block type of bike rack might be installed right next
to the buildings.
The public hearing was closed.
A motion was made by Commissioner Lindsey, seconded by Commissioner
Doherty that findings shown as A, B, and C, in the staff report
are made and that case UP-83-7 be approved subject to the conditions
shown in that report..
ROLL CALL VOTE
AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Lindsey
and Chairman Jamieson
NOES: None
ABSENT: Commissioner Wilson
ABSTAIN: None
Resolution No. 2367 was entered and adopted approving case UP-83-37
as motioned.
UP-83-35, Steven Krome
Application of Steven Krome for a conditional use permit to
operate an apprxoiamtely 1600 sq. ft. veterinary clinic at 3059
Hopyard Road. Mr. Harris
stated they were not. Commissioner Lindsey said it makes sense
to him that in the future the tenants of this particular shopping
center should be notified. Commissioner Lindsey then asked
if there would be any overnight boarding. Mr. Harris explained
that there is a reciprocal arrangement with another center and
that the animals would be kept at that center if the need arises.
The public hearinig was opened
Steven Krome, 126 Cameo, Danville, stated he had read the staff
recommendations. He said he talked to a number of tenants in
the shopping center and they don't seem to feel there will be
a problem. Regarding the proposed conditions he said it would
be his intention to basically operate an 8:30am to 5:30pm schedule,
but may have to extend his hours until his practice is developed
in the area. He would like to be able to have after hours emergency
-12-
,t,,. .._.~... .. .. .,.._.... _ ~ ~ ,. .. ._ T.,
