MINUTES 14
PLANNING COMMISSION
10/26/83
Page 8
Chairman Jamieson felt staff's recommendation should be implemented.
The Commission agreed that they saw no problem with the Zoning
Administrator making a minor modifiction to the conditional use
permit filed under case UP-82-16, Condition No. 2, reading as
follows:
That seating for auctions shall be limited to 100 seats and
that auctions shall be held no more often than 10 times per
month and shall not be held on any weekdays before 6:OOpm.
This condition shall be reviewed in October 1984 as part
of case UP-82-16.
Street Name Report
Mr. Harris presented this report stating that in staff's opinion,
after careful review the procedure currently used serves the City's
needs. Commissioner Getty asked if the names would now be shown
on the tentative maps. Mr. Harris indicated that sometimes in
the past they have not been shown because the marketing for a
particular project hasn't been established, but that the staff
would endeavor to have the street names proposed at the time of
tentative subdivision.
Commissioner Getty asked when Pico Avenue would officially be
changed to Bernal Avenue. Mr. Harris indicated it would probably
be done in November after a procedure was done to accommodate
this.
Chairman Jamieson stated they appreciated Mr. Hughes bringing
this matter to the City's attention because it will now allow
the Commission to look at the street names at tentative map stage.
Commissioner Doherty indicated that knowing what the names are
up front makes sense, but did not have a problem with the street
names which have already been assigned and which are in use.
GP-83-1, Cit of Pleasanton
Application o the City o Pleasanton to amend the general plan
Growth Management Element to clarify the interpretation to be
given to the existing goals and policies contained therein as
they relate to the approval of a new industrial, commercial and
offices development. The Planning Commission may recommend any
action on this matter deemed in the public interest. An Environmental
Impact Report (EIR) will also be considered.
-8-
