MINUTES r, <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />10/26/83 <br />Page 2 <br />GP-83-8, Cit of Pleasanton <br />Application o the City o Pleasanton to amend the general <br />plan land use designation from High Density Residential to <br />Medium Density Residential, or any other designation deemed <br />in the public interest for a 6.6 acre site located at the southwest <br />corner of Stoneridge Drive and I-680. Zoning for the property <br />is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-High Density Residential <br />District. A negative declaration of environmental impacts <br />will also be considered. <br />This item was continued to 11/9/83 as stated earlier. <br />PUD 83-16, Val West <br />Application o Val West, Inc. for PUD (Planned Unit Development)- <br />development plan approval of a 231 unit residential development <br />project on approximately 35 acres located on the north side <br />of Vineyard Avenue opposite Sauterne Way. Zoning for the property <br />is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Medium Density Residential <br />District. A negative declaration of environmental impacts <br />will also be considered. <br />This matter was continued to 12/14/83 for a traffic study as <br />stated earlier. <br />GP-83-13, Ferreri and Miranda <br />Application o John Ferreri and Fred Miranda to amend the general <br />plan land use designation on approximately 6 acres located <br />at the southeast corner of Santa Rita Road and West Las Positas <br />Blvd. from "High Density Residential" to "Commercial and Offices." <br />The Planning Commission may recommend any action on this matter <br />deemed in the public interest. A mitigated negative declaration <br />of environmental impacts was also considered. <br />Mr. Harris presented the staff report recommending approval <br />of the application. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />John Ferreri, 865 Abbie Street, stated they concur with the <br />staff report and would be available to answer any questions. <br />Commissioner Lindsey asked if Mr. Ferreri had a chance to meet <br />with the neighbors. Mr. Ferreri indicated he had met with <br />Mr. Roquette & plans on meeting with the neighbors to deal <br />with their concerns prior to submittal of the project. <br />No one else addressed this issue and the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Getty, seconded by Commissioner <br />Lindsey that the mitigated negative declaration for case GP-83-13 <br />be adopted inasmuch as any potentially significant adverse <br />environmental effects concerning this proposal would be reduced <br />to an insignificant level by inclusion of conditions imposed <br />on project approval. <br />-2- <br />__ _. ~__ <br />
