MINUTES <br />PLr~NNING CON~MISSION <br />November 28, 1983 <br />Page 14 <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Lindsey, seconded by Commissioner Doherty <br />that case PUD-83-23 be recommended for approval subject to the conditions shown <br />in the staff report, but modifying condition No. 9 as requested by staff and <br />eliminating Conditions Nos. 2 and 3. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Lindsey, Wilson and Chairman <br />Jamieson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Resolution No. 2404 was entered and adopted recommending approval of case PUD-83-23 <br />as motioned. <br />PUD-81-22-1D, City of Pleasanton <br />Application of the City of Pleasanton for PUD (Planned Unit Development)-development <br />plan approval of an approximately 12,000 sq. ft. fire station and related facilities <br />on an approximately 0.86 acre site located on the east side of Stoneridge Mall <br />Road approximately 650 ft. north of its intersection with Stoneridge Drive. <br />Zoning for the pro rty is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Commercial and Offices/High <br />Density Residential and Open Space District. <br />Mr. Harris presented the staff report recommending approval. He stated that <br />there is the possibility the site itself might be moved north or south along <br />Stoneridge Mall Road. He said it might move 200 feet one way or the other. <br />The property owners are considering submitting a revised PUD for the southern <br />half of the 91 acres. <br />Commissioner Getty asked if the Planning Commission has ever considered a situation <br />like this before. Mr. Harris stated they have not. Mr. Harris stated the <br />Fire Chief is present tonight to discuss this subject. Commissioner Lindsey <br />asked if the development could be held up for action by the property owner. <br />Mr. Harris stated that construction should begin within a year. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />J. Jack Bras, architect, represented the City of Pleasanton and the Fire Department. <br />He indicated that they have spent three or four months working with the Fire <br />Department and received input from everyone. He indicated that the building <br />might be moved one way or the other on Stoneridge Drive. <br />Commissioner Wilson asked about the location of the transformer. Mr. Bras <br />explained that it is not between the front of the building and the street. <br />Commissioner Wilson asked about the divider in the street. Mr. Warnick explained <br />there is an opening at the location they will probably be using. <br />Commissioner Doherty asked about the signals in the area being on computers. <br />Mr. Warnick stated that that particular light is not on computer. <br />Fire Chief Hill supported the design of the proposed fire station as well as <br />the location. Commissioner Doherty asked Chief Hill what he thought of the <br />proposed facility.
