16.3 Leaves Resulting from Subpoena <br /> Leaves of absence with pay shall be granted to a person <br /> while going to and from court and answering a subpoena as <br /> a witness. The employee shall be paid the difference <br /> between his /her full salary and any payment received by <br /> him /her, except travel pay, for such duty. <br /> 16.4 Military Leave <br /> Military leave shall be granted in accordance with the <br /> provisions of law. All employees entitled to military <br /> leave shall give the Appointing Authority an opportunity <br /> within the limits of military regulations to determine <br /> when such leave shall be taken. <br /> Section 17. Health and Welfare Coverage <br /> 17.1 Hospital and Medical Care - Active Employees <br /> Effective July 1, 1988, the City shall contribute an <br /> amount necessary to provide hospital and medical care <br /> benefits under either the present blue Cross Plan, Kaiser <br /> S -1 Plan or, Foundation Health Plan I for the individual <br /> employee and a portion of the amount necessary to provide <br /> coverage for eligible dependents provided, however, in no <br /> event shall the City be obligated to contribute a monthly <br /> amount in excess of the monthly premium for the Kaiser S -1 <br /> Health Plan full family coverage. <br /> 17.2 Health & Medicare Coverage Retirees <br /> Effective July 1, 1986, employees having retired from <br /> service on or after their fiftieth (50th) birthday, the <br /> City shall reimburse upon receipt of proper documentation <br /> an amount not to exceed seventy -five dollars ($75.00) per <br /> month toward the cost of self procured medical plan <br /> coverage. Said reimbursement shall cease on the <br /> employee's seventieth (70th) birthday. <br /> Effective August 31, 1990, for all employees who retire <br /> from service after August 31, 1990, the City shall pay for <br /> each year of service, four percent (4 %) of the monthly <br /> premium for employee and one dependent of the City's <br /> current Kaiser S -1 Health Plan coverage. Effective <br /> August 31, 1990 for all employees who retire for <br /> disability after August 31, 1990 the City shall pay a <br /> percentage of the monthly premium for employee and one <br /> dependent of the City's current Kaiser S -1 Health Plan <br /> coverage in accordance with the schedule set forth below: <br /> - 16 - <br />
