They agree with <br />the staff report and have nothing to add. He would be Welling to <br />work with all interested parties concerning this project. <br />Commissioner Innes asked Mr. Chin if the units were single story. <br />Mr. Chin indicated that they are two-story. <br />The public hearing as closed. <br />Commissioner Getty asked the width of Whiting Street. <br />Mr. Warnick indicated he did not know but had Mr. Okamura check <br />the files on this. Commissioner Getty was surprised that no <br />neighbors in the area came to speak on this project. She <br />believed that Whiting was barely wide enough to handle two cars. <br />Mr. Harris indicated that neighbors have come to the counter and <br />looked at the plans on his project. Commissioner Lindsey asked <br />staff if they knew if Mr. Chin talked to the neighbors regarding <br />this project and asked if they were aware that the homes would be <br />two-story in height. Mr. Chin talked to one neighbor who knew <br />the houses wouadlowedwonsoneysiderofHthelproposed streetarking <br />would only be <br />Commissioner Getty felt real uncomfortable about approving a <br />project like this in this particular area. She felt it is too <br />dense. Commissioner Wilson stated that subdivisions have been <br />approved recently by the Planning Commission with a 28 ft. <br />street. Commissioner Getty asked if the Fire Department had any <br />problems or complaints. Mr. Harris indicated there were none, as <br />far as he knew. <br />Mr. Okamura then reported that Whiting Street has a 50 ft. right <br />of way with a 30 ft. wide street. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Lindsey, seconded by <br />Commissioner Wilson that the negative declaration prepared for <br />PUD-84-6 be recommended approval inasmuch as approval of this <br />project would have no significant effect on the environment. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES• Commissioners Getty, Innes, Lindsey, <br />• Wilson and Chairman Doherty <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Resolution No. 2539 was entered and adopted recommending approval <br />of the negative declaration prepared for case PUD-84-6 as <br />motioned. <br />- 3 - <br />__- _ _ _ _ ~ <br />
