MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS
Commissioner Innes expressed great concern with the removal of
the telephone and coffee report previously located in the Council
Chambers Conference Room. He felt that in this type of building
there needs to be more than one telephone for the press because
of their deadlines. Commissioner Wilson asked why they were
removed. Commissioner Lindsey didn't know why they were removed
but wanted them reinstalled during Planning Commission meetings.
Commissioner Getty and Innes concurred.
Commissioner Innes asked about the traffic assumptions which were
to have been completed by 10/10/84. Mr. Warnick indicated that
Wilbur Smith had his report available last week and the staff met
with Chris Kinzel of TJKM on Monday. Both reports were presented
to the Commission and Mr. Warnick asked that discussion be
continued to 10/24/84.
Commissioner Lindsey had concerns with the slow speed of
construction with regard to the soundwall under construction on
the north side of Valley Avenue. Commissioner Getty spoke to
security concerns of the homeowners because of this same
condition. Mr. Warnick stated that the staff does not have a lot
of leverage in this regard but would see what could be done.
Commissioner Innes asked about the left-turn lane heading into
Foothill Knolls and whether or not it would be changed or
restriped. Mr. Warnick indicated that it will be redesigned.
Chairman Doherty thanked everyone who helped him look for a
tricycle for Heritage days.
PUD-79-11-4M Cork Harbour
Application of Cork Harbour Company for a major modification to
case PUD-79-11, a single-family residential planned unit
development on the approximately 32 acre site located east of the
Pleasanton School upper playfield between Bernal Avenue and the
to reduce by
residences on the south side of Angela Street,
approximately 40o the common open space required by the PUD
development plan or the project. The property is zoned PUD
(Planned Unit Development)-Medium Density Residential District.
This matter was continued to 10/14/84 as stated.
PUD 84-6, Chin/Pleasanton School District
Application of the Pleasanton School District and Kenneth Chin
for rezoning and development plan approval for an eight unit
residential development on an approximately .9 acre site located
on the north side of Abbie Street between the Old Towne
development and the residences on the east side of Whiting
Street. Zoning for the property is R-1-6500 (Single-family
Residential) District. A negative declaration of environmental
impacts will also be considered.
Mr. Harris presented the staff report recommending approval of
the application. He indicated that the property is currently
- 2 -
.. - _ 1T
