He did not feel this would be a home occupation but rather
a commercial one.
Commissioner Doherty stated there is no question as to whether or not
daycare is needed but did not feel 266 Kottinger to be a good location.
He supported the comments of Commissioner Lindsey. Commissioner Getty
asked about Commissioner Lindsey's comments and he responded that he believes
the use at this specific location would hurt the integrity of the neighborhood.
Chairman Jamieson felt childcare centers are needed but felt the site
at 266 Kottinger Drive is too small. He also felt there are traffic concerns
whether or not the LOS is at "A". He concurred with the comments of Commissioner
Doherty and Lindsey.
Commissioner Wilson indicated that traffic would be a problem and could
not support the application.
Commissioner Lindsey asked that staff look into proper areas for daycare
facilities.
