Zoning for the property is currently C-F (Commercial Freeway) District.
Mr. Swift reviewed the staff report. He reviewed the reasons for the development
agreement.
Commissioner Lindsey had concerns with tree removal on the north side of
Valley for Valley Plaza Villages II. Mr. Warnick indicated that three trees
were shown on the plan to be saved; one of them was to be transplanted.
Mr. Warnick had received a telephone call at 7:30am from one of the neighbors
stating the trees had been removed. Commissioner Doherty asked if anyone
knew who took the trees. Mr. Warnick said he personally didn't know but
that the City is looking to the developer for replacement. Mr. Warnick stated
that generally there is a pre-job conference and items such as tree removal
are covered with the developers, but in this case by the time the permits
were issued, the trees were removed. CommissionerWilson said he didn't believe
it was the developers as this happens all of the time.
The public hearing was opened.
No one addressed this matter.
The public hearing was closed.
-1-
