Page 6 <br />Minutes <br />Planning Commission <br />3/28/84 <br />A motion was then made by C mmissioner Lindsey, seconded by Commissioner <br />Wilson that case PUD-81-30- OD be recommended for approval subject to the <br />conditions shown in the sta f report but that the parking spaces shall be <br />8'8" as requested by staff end is conditioned upon Ordinance No. 1109 <br />becoming effective. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Lindsey, Wilson and Chairman Jamieson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Getty <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Resolution No. 2443 was enured and adopted recommending approval of case <br />PUD-81-30-1OD as motioned. <br />GP-84-4, Prudential Insurance Co. <br />Application for an amendment to the Land Use and Circulation Element of the <br />General Plan to change the land use designation of the approximately 5.7 <br />acre site located immediately north of Hacienda Business Park between Hopyard <br />Road, Chabot Drive and Owens Drive from "General and Limited Industrial" <br />to "Industrial, Commercial snd Offices" and to extend Stoneridge Drive southerly <br />across West Las Positas Boulevard, then beyond the southeast corner of the <br />Hacienda Business Park to Santa Rita Road. A mitigated negative declaration <br />of environmental impacts will also be considered . <br />Mr. Harris presented the staff report recommending approval of the application. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Jack Swanson, Prudential Insurance Company, made reference to the land use <br />plan of the 5.7 acre boundaXy. He indicated the acreage is surrounded by <br />commercial uses. The extension of Stoneridge Drive T's south and then east <br />across the Arroyo then to Santa Rita Road. He indicated the intersection <br />will be slightly redesigned.. Commissioner Lindsey asked if this five acre <br />parcel would have access frpm Hopyard Road. Mr. Swanson said if it does, <br />it will be at the end. Currently there is a right in and out for Sheraton. <br />Commissioner Wilson asked Mr. Swanson if they have agreed to put the road <br />in through the Army's well ,fields. Mr. Swanson said that the road will not <br />disturb the existing wells. Mr. Swanson stated that they have a meeting <br />with the Army next week to discuss the matter. Commissioner Wilson asked <br />what would happen if the Army indicated they wouldn't cooperate. Mr. Swanson <br />stated they have no reason to think the Army will object and that they have <br />dealt with them previously. Mr. Warnick indicated that the Army is currently <br />negotiating with Zone 7 and DSRSD for their water, but the well sites will <br />not be disturbed. <br />Pete Ruggeri, Bissell & Karn, explained the proposed circulation system. <br />He also indicated that the Army's wells will not be effected by their proposed <br />plan. <br />-6- <br />_.__T <br />
