Alameda County Transportation Improvement Authority <br />Special Transportation for Seniors and People with Disabilities <br />A. Public Meetings and Dates: <br />• Pleasanton Senior Program Advisory Committee regularly reviews the PPS <br />quarterly reports and provides input on the program. <br />• December 15, 2006 -PPS Task Force reviewed the current FY 2006-07 plan <br />and provided feedback for the FY 2007-08 plan. <br />• May 1, 2007 -PPS Plan will be reviewed by the Pleasanton City Council. <br />• On-going joint meetings with LAVTA have included reviews of the plan. <br />B. Has this plan been reviewed by a local paratransit advisory group? <br />^Q Yes -> Committee Name: Pleasanton Paratransit Task Force <br />Meeting llate: December 15, 2006 <br />^ No <br />Narrative Responses for C and D above: <br />As part of the annual planning process, PPS users complete aprogram/service evaluation. <br />Over 700 surveys were sent out to riders on March 1, 2007, with a completion date of March <br />31, 2007. A summary of these findings will be included in the ACTIA year-end report. <br />Anyone completing the survey receives a tree paratransit ride. <br />Staff worked with the PPS Task Force on June 6, 2006 to identify three (3) measurable <br />outcomes for FY2006-07. <br />The committee identified the following outcomes: <br />Outcome I <br />Development of a new client orientation program focusing on PPS. "fhe orientation might <br />include a comprehensive packet of information, video or audiotape. <br />'Tasks to include: <br />1. Development of comprehensive marketing piece, including a variety of <br />transit information. <br />2. Research possible ideas/funding for a video tape orientation. <br />3. Research the development of audiotapes for visually impaired clients. <br />Outcome II <br />Increased exposure to all types of transit services available to the senior community. <br />Tasks to include: <br />1. Provide joint travel training opportunities with LAVTA. <br />2.
