A five minute recess was taken for Mr. Cooper to meet with his clients.
The Commission reconvened and Mr. Cooper announced that his clients wish that a vote
be taken on their proposal.
The public hearing was closed.
A motion was made by Commissioner Lindsey, seconded by Commissioner Wilson that the
negative declaration prepared for case PUD-83-10/12 be recommended for approval inasmuch
as project approval would have an insignificant effect on the environment.
ROLL CALL VOTE
AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Lindsey, Wilson and Chairman
Jamieson
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
Resolution No. 2429 was entered and adopted recommending approval of the negative declaration
prepared for case PUD-83-10/12 as motioned.
A motion was made by Commissioner Doherty, seconded by Commissioner Getty that case
PUD-83-10/12 be denied for the reasons mentioned throughout the testimony by the Commissioners.
ROLL CALL VOTE
AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Getty and Chairman Jamieson
NOES: Commissioners Lindsey and Wilson
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
Resolution No. 2430 was entered and adopted denying case PUD-83-10/12 as motioned.
Commissioner Getty stated she voted for denial because the plan presented was not that
envisioned by her for the area. She agrees there should be no curbs, gutters, street flow
should be better and other restrictions similar to this imposed, but did not agree on the issue
of the orientation of the homes. She felt that perhaps fencing should be addressed. She feels
this area is a nice area similar to Woodside and other aesthetic areas.
MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S INFORMATION
Mr. Swift stated that the draft ordinance concerning childcare has been distributed to the
Commission for their review. He stated this matter is scheduled to go before City Council
next week and if any of the Commissioners have any questions concerning the draft, he invited
them to give him a call prior to that time.
Mr. Harris stated it has been determined that a February 22 meeting is necessary because
of the number of items on the agenda already.
-9-
_.. .... ~ ..+.... .. ... ._.... ._..
