Minutes
Planning Commission
1/25/84
Page 5
Chairman Jamieson asked if City staff had contacted DSRSD to find out if they
have any future requirements for this property which will be landscaped by them
and maintained by the mini-storage facility. Mr. Harris stated that as far as staff
knows at the present time there are no plans for the property.
Commissioner Getty stated she is impressed with these plans. She feels that the
use is appropriate for the site particularly since it will be located right next to a
sewage treatment plant.
Commissioner Wilson wanted to know if the proposal would appear to be a solid
wall similar to the storage facility on Santa Rita Road. Commissioner Getty stated
that this situation is completely different than the one on Santa Rita Road. Commissioner
Lindsey concurred stating he would rather see a large wall on the property vs. nothing
at all.
Chairman Jamieson said one of the problems with the property is that it does get
odors from the sewage treatment plant.
A motion was made by Commissioner Getty, seconded by Commissioner Wilson that
the mitigated negative declaration prepared for this project be adopted inasmuch
as conditions imposed on project approval would reduce any potentially significant
negative environmental effects to insignificant levels.
ROLL CALL VOTE
AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Lindsey, Wilson and
Chairman Jamieson
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
Resolution No. 2421 was entered and adopted recommending approval of the mitigated
negative declaration for case PUD-83-21.
A motion was made by Commissioner Wilson, seconded by Commissioner Lindsey
that that case PUD-83-21 be recommended for approval subject to the conditions
shown in the staff report, adding the three conditions relating to the North Pleasanton
Assessment District as read by Mr. Harris and modifying Condition No. 15 to add
"...per Landscape Plan SKL #1 and that no occupancy shall take place until the landscaping
is completed."
ROLL CALL VOTE
AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Lindsey, Wilson and
Chairman Jamieson
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
Resolution No. 2422 was entered and adopted recommending approval of case PUD-83-21
as motioned.
-5-
