Minutes <br />Planning Commissic <br />10/23/85 <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Lindsey, seconded by <br />Commissioner Hoyt that Case PUD-85-17 be recommended for approval <br />subject to the conditions of the staff report, but per the plans <br />submitted by the applicant, that landscaping shall be on both <br />sides of the proposed wall, particularly along the creek,and <br />amending Condition No. 6 that the wall shall be 8 feet. George <br />Allen, Bissell & Karn then interjected stating they cannot <br />landscape the creekside of the proposed wall because this is <br />controlled by Flood Control and Department of Fish and Game and <br />maintained by the Hacienda Business Park association. The motion <br />was then amended to eliminate requiring landscaping on the creek <br />side of the proposed wall. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Hoyt, <br />Chairman Wilson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Innes <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Lindsey, Michelotti, Wellman and <br />Resolution No. 2719 was entered and adopted recommending approval <br />of Case PUD-85-17 as motioned. <br />PUD-81-30-33D, Callahan Pentz Properties <br />Application of Callahan Pentz Properties for design review <br />approval to construct a two-story, 59,449 sq. ft. office building <br />on an approximately 4.2 acre site located on the southeast side <br />of Gibraltar Drive (Site 34E) in the Hacienda Business Park. <br />Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development)-Industrial, Commercial and Offices District. <br />Mr. Swift presented the staff report. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Pat O'Brien, Callahan-Pentz Properties, presented their proposal. <br />Vince Wong, 2901 Garden Avenue, Santa Clara, reviewed their <br />project indicating that this is the second phase for EGG. <br />Commissioner Lindsey asked if the existing EGG building is a <br />single-story structure. Mr. Wong indicated that it is. <br />Commissioner Wellman asked about the flagpoles shown in the model <br />presented. Mr. Wong indicated that the poles are for model <br />purposes only they still have to get specifications from EGG. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Wellman, seconded by <br />Commissioner Michelotti that Case PUD-81-30-33D be recommended <br />for approval subject to the conditions shown in the staff report. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />
