Minutes <br />Planning Commissio. <br />August 14, 1985 <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />No one addressed this matter. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Wellman, seconded by <br />Commissioner Hoyt that all findings as shown in the staff report <br />are made and that Case UP-85-30 be approved subject to the <br />conditions shown thereon. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Hoyt, Innes, Michelotti, Wellman <br />and Chairman Wilson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Lindsey <br />ABSENT: None <br />Resolution No. 2689 was entered and adopted approving Case <br />UP-85-30 case motioned. <br />UP-85-32, Boswell <br />Application of Luke Boswell for a conditional use permit for a <br />wholesale establishment for the distribution of paper goods and <br />related products, to be located at 39 California Avenue. Zoning <br />for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Commercial <br />District. <br />Mr. Swift presented the staff report recommending approval of <br />this application. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Luke Boswell, Alamo, indicated he had received a copy of the <br />staff report and agrees with the conditions shown thereon. <br />Commissioner Wellman addressed the wholesale/retail aspects of <br />the business. Mr. Boswell explained how the percentage of <br />wholesale to retail business is determined. <br />Chairman Wilson asked who pays the sales tax. Mr. Boswell <br />indicated, their wholesale sales are similar to that of a flea <br />market and the purchaser pays the taxes. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Innes, seconded by Commissioner <br />Michelotti that all findings in the staff report are made and <br />- 7 - <br />..r <br />
