Minutes <br />Planning Commissioi <br />June 26, 1985 <br />PUD-85-9, GEF Financial Corporation <br />Application of GEF Financial Corporation for rezoning and <br />development plan approval to construct a two and three story, <br />132-unit retirement hotel complex on an approximately 2.5 acre <br />site located on the southeast corner of Foothill Road and <br />Stoneridge Drive. Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development)-Commercial Office District. <br />This matter was continued to 7/24/85. <br />NEW BUSINESS - Public Hearings <br />PUD-85-10, Hopyard Partners <br />Application of Hopyard Partners for Planned Unit <br />Development-Central Commercial rezoning and development plan <br />approval to construct a 7,350 sq, ft. day care facility, an 8,000 <br />sq. ft. commercial office building and additional parking area <br />(over the Pleasanton Canal) north and east of an existing <br />shopping center located at the northeast corner of Valley <br />Avenue and Hopyard Road (Hopyard Village). Zoning for the <br />properties are CC (Central Commercial) and "P" (Public and <br />Institutional) Districts. <br />This matter was continued to 7/24/85. <br />PUD-81-30-29D, Callahan-Pentz Properties <br />Application of Callahan-Pentz Properties for design review <br />approval for a two building, 82,217 sq. ft. research and <br />development/light industrial complex on an approximately 5.0 acre <br />site located at 5751 Gibraltar Drive. Zoning for the property is <br />PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Industrial, Commercial and Office <br />District. <br />This matter was continued to 7/24/85. <br />UP-85-17, Carlos Quiros <br />Application of Carlos Quiros for conditional use permit approval <br />to operate an upholstery shop at 57 California Street. Zoning <br />for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Commercial <br />Office District. <br />Mr. Swift presented the staff report recommending approval of <br />Case UP-85-17. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Carlos Quiros, 3955 Vineyard Avenue, Pleasanton, indicated he had <br />read the staff report and agrees with the conditions shown <br />thereon. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Lindsey, seconded by <br />Commissioner Wellman that Case UP-85-17 be approved subject to <br />the conditions shown in the staff report as all findings shown in <br />that report are made. <br />- 3 - <br />
