Minutes
Planning Commission.
June 26, 1985
history behind the left turn lane and why it was required. If it
is determined not to be necessary, it will be removed.
Commissioner Innes suggested that a report published on a regular
basis showing the number of individual projects which have been
approved, the amount under construction, as well as the number
occupied would be beneficial to the Commission. Mr. Swift
indicated that staff is in the process of developing some way to
tracking projects from the time of application to occupancy.
This information is needed for various reasons including
implementation of the TSM program, North Pleasanton traffic
studies, etc. Commissioner Innes would like to see staff strive
for the first report in December. Commissioner Innes emphasized
that he is not requesting that a report be absolutely furnished
quarterly or semi-annually but rather that a reasonable routine
be established and a report furnished.
Commissioner Lindsey inquired about the recent two hour parking
limit placed in a portion of Stanley Business Park. Mr. Okamura
explained that this subject was recently considered at the
traffic committee meeting. It was pulled off and a separate
meeting was set up with the proponents and opponents.
A compromise was reached and the issue was taken to the City
Council for approval. It was approved with the understanding
that it be flexible and staff will have to consider parking
provided when considering uses and proposed buildings. Problems
have occurred particularly in the auto repair shops.
Commissioner Wellman asked about her request concerning new
service of the Post Office for the newly developed areas in town.
Chairman Wilson indicated that a letter over his signature is
being sent to the Post Office and that a copy has been
distributed to the Planning Commissioners tonight.
OLD BUSINESS - Public Hearings
RZ-85-7, Pleasanton School District & Amador Savings and Loan
Application of the Pleasanton School District and Amador Savings
and Loan to rezone an approximately 22.3 acre site from the "P"
(Public and Institutional) District to the R-1-6500
(Single-family Residential) District or to any other zoning
district consistent with the General Plan. The property is
located on the north side of Crellin Road, immediately east of
the residences on the east side of Sylvaner Drive and 600 feet
southeast of Chardonnay Drive.
This matter was continued to 7/24/85.
- 2 -
