the mitigating measures as shown in the TJKM traffic report shall <br />be carried out prior to occupancy of Dillingham unless staff has <br />found it not necessary because of other mitigating measures. <br />Commissioner Lindsey expressed displeasure in receiving last <br />minute submittals. Mr. Okamura apologized for the tardiness of <br />the information presented to the Commission. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Hoyt, Innes, Lindsey, Wellman and <br />Chairman Wilson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Resolution No. 2659 was entered and adopted recommending approval <br />of Case PUD-81-30-28D as motioned. <br />Z-85-108, Sheraton/Velvet Turtle <br />Application of the Sheraton Hotel and Velvet Turtle Restaurant <br />for design review approval for a signing program for their <br />facilities located at 5115 Hopyard Road. Zoning for the property <br />is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Industrial, Commercial and <br />Offices District. <br />Tom Quaglia presented the staff report recommending approval of <br />the sign program. <br />Commissioner Wellman asked about the sign location and whether <br />the site proposed is tentative. Mr. Quaglia explained that the <br />sign will be permanent, setback 12' from the sidewalk allowing <br />the sign to be seen from two angles. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Hugh Scott, developer of the Sheraton, indicated they agree with <br />the staff report. <br />Commissioner Lindsey thanked Mr. Scott for working with the City <br />Staff. Mr. Scott thanked Mr. Quaglia for his time. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Lindsey, seconded by <br />Commissioner Wellman that Z-85-108 be approved subject to the <br />conditions shown in the staff report. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Hoyt, <br />Chairman Wilson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Innes, Lindsey, Wellman and <br />- 8 - <br />
