Minutes <br />Planning Commissiol <br />4/24/x5 <br />thought that Mr. Hirst concurred with staff verbally that he <br />would not put up his sign until the existing sign was removed. <br />After further discussion Mr. Hirst agreed that the condition <br />could remain as his. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Wilson, seconded by <br />Commissioner Lindsey that Case Z-85-59 be recommended for <br />appro~~al subject to the conditions shown in the staff report. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES; Commissioners Getty, Innes, Lindsey, Wilson and <br />Chairman Doherty <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Resolution No. 2642 was entered and adopted recommending approval <br />of Case Z-85-59 as motioned. <br />PUD-85-4, Harris Realty Co. <br />Application of Harris Realty Co. for Planned Unit Development <br />rezoning and development plan approval to construct a 79 unit <br />detached patio home project on an approximately 11.9 acre site <br />located on the north side of Muirwood Drive between Forest Hill <br />Drive and Springdale Avenue. Zoning for the property is R-1-6500 <br />(Singl_e-family Residential) District. <br />Chairman Gregg Doherty announced that everyone who elected to do <br />so could speak to this item, however, they would be allowed five <br />minutes only. He further asked that whenever possible a <br />spokesperson for an particular group should be used. <br />Vice Chairman Wilson stepped down from this item and Alternate <br />Commissioner Kaye Wellman replaced him. <br />Mr. Robert Harris presented the staff report and recommended <br />denial of the project. <br />Commissioner Wellman asked about the traffic study done and <br />whether or not it included the impacts of Foothill Road and <br />I-580. Mr. Harris stated it didn't include this area. <br />Commissioner Innes inquired about Condition No. 2 which refers to <br />20' driveways. He asked how many lots this condition would <br />eliminate. Mr. Harris indicated he was not sure. <br />The pubic hearing was opened. <br />Mike Harris, 6111 Johnson Court, Harris Realty, presented their <br />proposal. He stated that the battle is not against each other <br />but rather against, high interest rates, and cost of land.
