Minutes <br />Planning Commissio_ <br />4/10/85 <br />The public hearing was closed., <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Wellman, seconded by <br />Commissioner Wilson that the negative declaration prepared for <br />Case PUD-85-3 be recommended for approval inasmuch as project <br />approval would have an insignificant effect on the environment. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Innes, Lindsey, Wellman and Vice <br />Chairman Wilson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Chairman Doherty <br />ABSTAIN: Commissioner Getty <br />Resolution No. 2635 was entered and adopted recommending approval <br />of the Negative Declaration for Case PUD-85-3 as motioned. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Innes, seconded by Commissioner <br />Wilson that Case PUD-85-3 be recommended for approval subject to <br />the conditions shown in the staff report, with two additional <br />conditions; 1) that maximum exposure be provided in the <br />pedestrian walkway; and 2) that no individual projection be <br />allowed at 400-450 Main Street and that if awnings are desired, a <br />plan be submitted for the entire front of the buildings and that <br />it be consistent with the architecture of the building on the <br />north and west sides. <br />Commissioner Lindsey stated that this project serves as a <br />catalyst for the downtown area and he congratulated both of the <br />applicants on their proposal. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Innes, Lindsey, Wellman and Vice <br />Chairman Wilson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Chairman Doherty <br />ABSTAIN: Commissioner Getty <br />Resolution No. 2636 was entered and adopted recommending approval <br />of Case PUD-85-3 as motioned. <br />RZ-85-5, City of Pleasanton <br />Application of the City of Pleasanton to rezone an approximately <br />1.75 acre site from the C-S (Commercial Service) District to the <br />PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Medium Density Residential <br />District or to any other zoning district consistent with the <br />General Plan located at 607-675 St. John Street, approximately 60 <br />feet east of the intersection of Pleasanton Avenue and St. John <br />Street. <br />Mr. Harris presented the staff report. <br />Vice Chairman Wilson asked if the meaning of this rezoning is <br />clear to the property owner, i.e., if the use was non-conforming, <br />- 4 - <br />T <br />
