Minutes <br />Planning Commission. <br />3/27/85 <br />Commissioner Wellman did not feel the lanes were clearly marked <br />on Santa Rita Road particularly at its intersections of Mohr and <br />Valley Avenues. The lanes go from two to three in number and <br />this fact is not clear when one travels Santa Rita Road. Mr. <br />okamura stated that resurfacing will take place on Santa Rita <br />Road between Mohr and Valley Avenues because the road is breaking <br />up. He stated he will check with the street department.With <br />regard to street repairs permanent improvements will be done <br />under the assessment district. <br />Commissioner Innes reported that northbound on Santa Rita Road <br />immediately past its intersection with Old Santa Rita Road is a <br />50mph sign and immediately past it is a 45mph sign. He stated <br />that this is confusing. Staff indicated this matter would be <br />looked into. <br />Chairman Doherty congratulated Kaye Wellman for being assigned <br />permanent position of Planning Commissioner effective May 5, <br />1985. He stated that his last meeting will be April 24, 1985. <br />He further stated he will not be presented April 10, 1985 and <br />Commissioner Wilson will chair that meeting in his absence. He <br />announced that City Council is taking applications for one <br />permanent and one alternate Planning Commissioner. He urged <br />anyone who was interested to submit an application. <br />Z-85-59, Bill Hirst et al <br />Application of Bill Hirst et al for design review approval for a <br />comprehensive sign program at 235, 239 and 243 Main Street <br />(Downtown Center). Zoning for the property is C-C/C-O (Central <br />Commercial/Civic Overlay) District. <br />This item was continued to 4/10/85. <br />PUD-85-2, Trammell Crow <br />Application of the Trammell Crow Company for rezoning of an eight <br />acre portion of an approximately 49 acre site from CC (Central <br />Commercial) to PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Central Commercial <br />District or to any other zoning district consistent with the <br />General Plan.. The property is located immediately southwest of <br />the intersection of I-580 and Santa Rita Road. <br />Mr. Harris presented the staff report recommending approval, <br />reporting that he has seen preliminary development plans for an <br />automobile dealership but no firm development plans have been <br />submitted for consideration. Commissioner Wellman asked what the <br />formula is for acreage for automobile dealerships. Mr. Harris <br />stated that the dealerships are looking for two-three acre sites. <br />He stated that this is the initial stage and no plans have been <br />submtited for developing property. Commissioner Innes asked when <br />one would address circulation, especially as it relates to Lots 2 <br />and 3. Mr. Harris felt it would be better discussed when someone <br />came in for development of Lot 1.
