Minutes
Planning Commission
March 13, 1985
Institutional) District, and that the 2.27 acre City owned park
site be prezoned A (Agricultural) District subject to the
following condition:
Until a development plan is approved for the 10 acre Auf der
Maur property, all allowed and conditionally allowed uses of
the A (Agricultural) District shall be permitted or
conditionally permitted.
Chairman Doherty stated that he was at a meeting several weeks
ago with Dr. James who addressed residential construction going
on in town.
The public hearing was opened.
Judy Gilman, 473 Los Rios, stated she is a new resident and is
not opposed to development. She asked if land has been set aside
for a school for the children of the area. She liked the park
and asked if it would change. Chairman Doherty explained that
the School District has declared much of their school sites
surplus and suggested that perhaps Mrs. Gilman discuss with the
school superintendent the matter of bussing children across town.
Mr. Harris explained that the purpose of this hearing is just to
prezone property so that when it comes into the City it will have
a zoning designation on it. There are no development proposals
for the area.
Mr. Warnick stated that it is proposed that with the Lund ranch
proposal the park will be extended another four or five acres.
Commissioner Wilson asked Mrs. Gilman how she accessed the park
from her home. Mrs. Gilman explained that they put a gate from
the yard.
The public hearing was closed.
A motion was made by Commissioner Getty, seconded by Commissioner
Wilson that the negative declaration prepared for Case RZ-85-6 be
adopted inasmuch as prezoning of this property would not have a
significant adverse effect on the environment.
ROLL CALL VOTE:
AYES: Commissioners Getty, Lindsey, Wellman, Wilson and
Chairman Doherty
NOES: None
ABSENT: Commissioner Innes
ABSTAIN: None
Resolution No. 2628 was entered and adopted recommending approval
of the negative declaration prepared for Case RZ-85-6 as
motioned.
A motion was made by Commissioner Getty, seconded by Commissioner
Wilson that Case RZ-85-6 be recommended for approval subject to
the following condition:
- 9 -
