Minutes
Planning Commission
October 8, 1986
Lindsey indicated there is a posted speed limit in the area and
vehicles must observe it.
Bob Sanchez, 3017 Melbourne Court, in general approved of the
subdivision. He discussed Condition No. 4 requiring a fence on
the northern boundary. He asked that there be a chainlink gate
fence installed. Four-wheel drives, motorcycles, etc. go around
wooden barriers creating a nuisance. Mr. Swift indicated that
the proposal is for a fence with gates where the two streets go
into the Staples Ranch area. The fence on the north boundary of
the park itself will be determined by Park and Recreation.
However, Dolores Bengtson does believe Parks and Recreation will
want a chainlink fence.
Commissioner Michelotti asked about the haul route for material
other than fill. Mr. Swift responded that the PUD condition
requires the route be E1 Charro Road across the Staples Ranch.
All indications are that the County will cooperate with this
regard.
The public hearing was closed.
Commissioner Wellman indicated she supported staff on Condition
No. 3 relating to fencing. Commissioner Michelotti also agreed.
Circulation
Commissioner Michelotti commented that in other subdivisions the
types of streets proposed do work. She just wanted to make sure
that West Las Positas Boulevard does not become a thoroughfare.
A motion was made by Commissioner Wellman, seconded by
Commissioner Michelotti that Tract 5341 be approved subject to
the conditions of the staff report modifying No. 37 as suggested
by Mr. Okamura, finding that Tract 5341 conforms to the zoning,
approved planned unit development plan and General Plan of the
City of Pleasanton for this property.
ROLL CALL VOTE:
AYES• Commissioners Berger, Hoyt, Michelotti,
• Wellman and Chairman Lindsey
NOES: None
ABSENT• Commissioner Inner
ABSTAIN: None
Resolution No. 2842 was entered and adopted approving Tract 5341
as motioned.
- 4 -
-r
