Len Fryer, Ponderosa Homes, 6671 Owens Drive, indicated they have <br />reviewed the staff report and conditions and are in accord. <br />Don Pietro, 7703 Corte Rosa, spoke in opposition to the model <br />home, particularly because it would be two-story building and he <br />felt his privacy would be imposed upon. <br />Commissioner Innes then discussed with Mr. Pietro what Mr. Pietro <br />was led to believe would be constructed on the subject lot. <br />Mr. Pietro was of the opinion that it would be a single story. <br />Mr. Innes asked if anyone had told him it would be a single story <br />structure. Mr. Pietro indicated that no one had specifically <br />told him it would be a single-story unit. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />Rebuttal <br />Mr. Fryer said they have been issued a building permit on the <br />lot. He contends that model homes tend to make good neighbors. <br />They are well lit and ordinarily do not cause any kind of <br />problems. Further, they only plotted the proposed house <br />recently. <br />Commissioner Michelotti asked Mr. Fryer to address the privacy <br />issue. Mr. Fryer indicted that no one uses the backyard as there <br />is no family living there -- ultimately there will be. This unit <br />is no different than any other within the development. <br />Commissioner Michelotti then asked how long it would be before <br />the house is occupied.
