NEi~ BUSINESS - Public Hearings Tract 5578, Shea Homes Application of Shea Homes to subdivide an approximately 42 acre site into fifty parcels for single-family residential use, ranging in size from approximately 4,500 square feet to approximately 6,000 square feet, and one remainder parcel of approximately 35 acres, located generally in the area north of the intersection of Rheem Drive and Rheem Court. Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - Medium Density Residential District. Mr. Swift presented the staff report recommending approval of this application. The public hearing was opened. Paul Medeiros, Shea Homes, 1210 S. Bascom, San Jose, stated they have read and agree with the conditions of the staff report. He stated that Planning Condition No. 4 and Engineering Condition No. 10 have both been taken care of with the Growth Management Long Term agreement between Shea Homes and the City of Pleasanton. The public hearing was closed. Commissioner Innes asked if the Fire Department has any problems with the long cul-de-sac. Mr. Swift said they had no problem with it because there is a turnaround. Commissioner Michelotti asked about the timeframe as to when Kamp Drive might be continued through the cul-de-sac. Mr. Medeiros said they plan to continue Kamp Drive next year to the northern boundary. A motion was made by Commissioner Wellman, seconded by Commissioner Hoyt that Tract 5578 be approved subject to the conditions of the staff report.
