Minutes <br />Planning Commissio_ <br />2/12/86 <br />Mr. Callahan asked Mr. Quaglia if the staff and applicant are in <br />agreement with condition 13 that one signal is needed only at the <br />entrance or is the median to be changed entirely. Mr. Quaglia <br />agreed they are in accord only one signal is required. Mr. Swift <br />indicated the condition came out of the Engineering Department <br />because of the uncertainty of the configuration of the driveways <br />and the parking lots. Mr. Okamura concurred that Condition No. <br />13 could be so modified. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Lindsey, seconded by <br />Commissioner WEllman that PUD-85-8-1d be recommended for approval <br />subject to the conditions of the staff report revising number 1, <br />eliminating, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, including 7 through 15 and amending <br />13 as stated earlier. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Hoyt, Lindsey, WEllman and <br />Chairman Wilson <br />NOES: Commissioner Innes <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />Resolution No. 2759 was entered and adopted recommending approval <br />of Case PUD-85-8-1D as motioned. <br />Commissioner Innes could not support this application because the <br />site is one of the most prominent in Phase II and probably the <br />best site to opt for multi-deck parking. He felt 4,000 cars on <br />surface paved parking would have a significant impact, and he <br />expressed concerns with the traffic and mitigation measures. <br />UP-85-19, Prudential Insurance Com an <br />Application of the Prudential Insurance Company of America for a <br />modification to an approved conditional use permit to allow for <br />regularly scheduled freight delivery flights at an approved <br />heliport facility, located on a portion of an approximately 2.3 <br />acre site located at the southeast corner of the intersection of <br />Owens Drive and Chabot Drive. Zoninq for the property is I-G <br />(General Industrial) District. <br />Mr. Swift presented the staff report. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Warren Sattler, Prudential Insurance Company of America, <br />indicated they have no problems with the conditions recommended <br />in the staff report. <br />Commissioner Innes discussed a temporary restraint being put up <br />in the parking area and no fencing being installed in the loading <br />zone. <br />- 14 - <br /> <br />
