Minutes <br />Planning Commission <br />October 22, 1986 <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Berger, Hoyt, Michelotti, Wellman and <br />Chairman Lindsey <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Innes <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Resolution No. 2857 was entered and adopted recommending approval <br />of the negative declaration prepared for Case RZ-86-10 as <br />motioned. <br />RZ-86-i1, City of Pleasanton <br />Application of the City of Pleasanton to prezone an approximately <br />246 acre site to the PUD (Planned Unit Development)-High <br />Density/Low Density/Rural Density Residential District or to any <br />other district consistent with the General Plan, located on both <br />sides of Old Dublin Canyon Road, generally in the area <br />approximately 4,800 feet west of the intersection of Foothill <br />Road and Old Dublin Canyon Road. <br />Mr. Swift presented the staff report recommending approval of <br />this appliciton. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />John Ferreri, 865 Abbie Street, spoke in support of the staff <br />report. <br />Brad Hirst, 2456 Minivet Court, represented Mr. Panganiban. <br />Mr. Hirst indicated that they concur with the recommendations of <br />the staff report. <br />Mr. Lewis, 11301 Dublin Canyon Road, expressed concern with <br />traffic and asked if there was a traffic study done for this <br />proposal. Mr. Lewis indicated recently there have been three <br />people killed, four rollovers, a fence knocked down and an <br />insurance sign knocked down four times at Dublin Canyon Road near <br />Foothill Road. Chairman Lindsey indicated that approval of a <br />development plan is not under consideration at this time. The <br />prezoning will allow the property to be annexed. At the time of <br />development plan, traffic concerns should be expressed. <br />Ray Neil, 1556 Wagoner Drive, Livermore, represented the House of <br />Warship. They are the closest neighbors to the Ferreri property <br />and are most impacted by the development. Mr. Neil asked for an <br />explanation of the application and the Commission complied. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Michelotti, seconded by <br />Commissioner Berger that the negative declaration prepared for <br />Case Rz-86-11 be recommended for approval as approval of the <br />rezoning request would have an insignificant effect on the <br />environment. <br />- 8 - <br />
