Minutes <br />Planning Commission <br />June 10, 1987 <br />Interested persons can give their names and addresses to the <br />recording clerk. <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />Chairman Lindsey asked about the banner at the recently approved <br />Karate studio at Hopyard Road/Valley Avenue. Mr. Swift stated <br />that temporary banners are allowed for 30 days. <br />Summer Schedule <br />Chairman Lindsey stated that generally speaking, the Planning <br />Commission holds only one meeting each during the months of <br />July and August. After discussion, the Commission supported <br />July 22, 1987 and August 26, 1987 as the meeting dates for July <br />and August 1987. <br />OLD BUSINESS - Public Hearings <br />PUD-87-6, B-W Construction Co./First Interstate Bank <br />Application of B-W Construction Company and First Interstate Bank <br />for development plan approval to construct a 2s-unit residential <br />townhouse complex, to be located on an approximately 2.4 acre <br />site, located at 553 St. John Street. Zoning for the property is <br />PUD (Planned Unit Development) - High Density Residential <br />District. <br />Mr. Swift presented the staff report recommending approval of the <br />revised plans proposed for this development. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Jim Rubnitz, B-W Construction, 1925 S. Winchester, Campbell, <br />reviewed the revised proposal. <br />Chairman Lindsey asked if Mr. Rubnitz agrees with the <br />recommendations of staff. Mr. Rubnitz stated he did and reviewed <br />the changes from the previous plans. <br />Mr. Rubnitz reviewed the color mix proposing goblin blue for <br />units 1, 3, 5 and 5, and forest haze (green) for units 2, 8, 7, 6 <br />and 4. They will have a 30-year composition roof. They prefer <br />putting a potting shelf vs a planter box. <br />Commissioner Michelotti discussed the square footage of the units <br />with Mr. Rubnitz. <br />Chairman Lindsey asked the sales price of the units. Mr. Rubnitz <br />stated it will probably be $150 to the upper $160,000 range. <br />Commissioner Mahern asked the overall building density. <br />Mr. Rubnitz stated it is 11.7 units per acre consistent with <br />townhouse projects on Stanley Boulevard. <br />Commissioner Michelotti asked about the two colors proposed and <br />stated.
