Chairman Lindsey then asked the
speaker to hold his comments for the public hearing concerning
bas Homes. Mr. Szeman stated that he intends to address issues
which are not relevant to the bas Homes application, but which
have potential traffic impacts on the area. Chairman Lindsey
stated he would allow Mr. Szeman's concerns to be heard at the
bas Homes public hearing because they are in the same area as the
subject application.
REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA
Mr. Swift asked that PUD-87-2, Harbor View, and PUD-87-5,
Stoneson be continued to May 13, 1987, and that PUD-82-16-3M, HSC
be continued indefinitely for lack of the property owner's
signature on the application.
Chairman Lindsey said that concerning Harbor View he would very
much like to have the matter heard at the next meeting.
Mr. Swift stated Harbor View asked for the continuance so that
they could work out the parking issue with staff. With regard to
Stoneson staff was unable to complete the staff report in time
for the meeting.
MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS
Commissioner Hoyt - Reported that Tawny Park needs a sign to keep
golfers off of the green.
Commissioner Hoyt - Shadow Cliff has their model home complex
opened even though their conditional use permit was denied by the
Planning Commission. Mr. Swift stated his staff would look into
this matter. Chairman Lindsey urged staff to be strong in
measures taken in this violation of use.
Commissioner Tarver - Asked that the City consider hiring a
traffic engineer to assist in reviewing the traffic reports for
projects to assist the Planning Commission in evaluating projects
which come before them. Other cities hire traffic engineers, but
do so usually after development occurs. Commissioner Tarver
would like to see it happen in Pleasanton before that time.
Commissioner Michelotti commented that the CIty does have a TSM
person. Commissioner Tarver felt a more technical person should
be hired so that signalization, projects, and other matters could
be considered. Chairman Lindsey said he would feel more
comfortable in reviewing traffic studies if he knew an expert on
staff had evaluated the reports earlier for projects under
consideration.
- 2 -
