January 28, 1986 <br />Planning Commission Minutes <br />NEW BUSINESS - Public Hearings <br />UP-87-1, Hinkston <br />Application of C. Jerry Hinkston for a conditional use permit to <br />operate an automobile sales and rental facility to be located on <br />an approximately .85 acre site located on the southeast corner of <br />the intersection of Old Santa Rita Road and Rosewood Drive. <br />Zoning for the property is CS (Commercial Service) District. <br />Mr. Swift presented the staff report recommending approval of <br />this application. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Carl Westerman, Garden City, New York, represented C. Jerry <br />Hinkston and indicated that they agree with the conditions <br />proposed in the staff report. <br />Commissioner Hoyt asked whether or not there would be service on <br />site. Mr. Westerman stated that the cars come to the lot all <br />ready for sale. There will be no service. Commissioner <br />Michelotti asked Mr. Westerman if one purchased a vehicle and it <br />had to come back for service, where it would go. Mr. Westerman <br />said it would be serviced elsewhere. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Innes, seconded by Commissioner <br />Michelotti that Case UP-87-1 be approved subject to the <br />conditions of the staff report as all findings as shown thereon <br />are made. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Berger, Hoyt, Innes, Michelotti and <br />Chairman Lindsey <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Resolution No. PC-87-07 was entered and adopted approving Case <br />UP-87-1 as motioned. <br />OLD BUSINESS - Public Hearings <br />PUD-86-16, Santa Anita Development Corporation <br />Application of Santa Anita Development Corporation for Planned <br />Unit development rezoning and development plan approval for a <br />193,845 square foot commercial/retail center to be located on an <br />approximately 18.2 acre site at the southeast corner of the <br />intersection of Stanley Boulevard and Bernal Avenue. Zoning for <br />the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Commercial <br />District. <br />Mr. Swift presented the staff report recommending approval of <br />this application. <br />- 2 - <br />
