MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />JANUARY 14, 1987 <br />Commissioner Berger stated that on Stoneridge Mall Road and <br />Stoneridge Drive intersection across from the Best shopping <br />center is an unkempt area with a seedy looking trailer on it and <br />asked staff to investigate this matter. <br />Chairman Lindsey stated there is <br />and Valley Avenue turning left. <br />yellow to red. He felt there to <br />to look into this. <br />still a problem at Hopyard Road <br />The light goes quickly from <br />be a malfunction and asked staff <br />Chairman Lindsey then introduced Gary Leach, the new Assistant <br />Director of Public Works and Utilities and welcomed him to the <br />City of Pleasanton. <br />REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Mr. Swift announced that the application of HSC, PUD-82-16, Item <br />6(e) be continued to 1/28/87.- The applicants of Item 5(a), <br />PUD-86-16, Santa Anita Development Corporation have also <br />requested that their application be continued to 1/28/87. <br />Chairman Lindsey said that this is the third time Santa Anita has <br />been continued. He asked that Gene Finch, representing the <br />Downtown Association come forward to address this proposed <br />continuance. Mr. Finch then came forward and asked for all in <br />the audience who are attending this meeting because of Santa <br />Anita to stand. Most people in the audience stood up indicating <br />they were present to hear the testimony concerning this shopping <br />center. Mr. Finch apologized for the short notice concerning <br />their continuance, but asked the audience to work with he and Pat <br />Lane of the Downtown Association regarding this application. <br />Chairman Lindsey then moved that these continuances be granted as <br />requested. This motion was seconded and carried 5-0. <br />Chairman Lindsey then requested the developer make sure before <br />they come back before the Planning Commission that this project <br />is ready to be acted upon and the best conclusions reached. <br />OLD BUSINESS - Public Heari <br />PUD-86-16, Santa Anita Development Corporation <br />Application of Santa Anita Development Corporation for Planned <br />Unit development rezoning and development plan approval for a <br />193,845 square foot commercial/retail center to be located on an <br />approximately 18.2 acre site at the southeast corner of the <br />intersection of Stanley Boulevard and Bernal Avenue. Zoning for <br />the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Commercial <br />District. <br />- 2 - <br />
