Iends itself to two-story houses. He feels that it would be a <br />better project if the developer could have a choice of one or <br />two-story homes. He estimated that the homes would be in a <br />range of X400,000-X450,000 and the area would have a Homeowner's <br />Assn. <br />Al Dutchover, 450 Main Street, also represented the application. <br />He presented plans to the staff and Commission. He pointed out <br />the project on a drawing. He stated that a new plan has been <br />made and was shown to the neighbors in the immediate area. He <br />explained the elevation and topography of Lots 5 and 8. He <br />showed a view of Lot 8 if a two-story house were built. <br />Commissioner Berger asked Mr. Dutchover what the average size of <br />a lot would be. He said about 8,000 square ft. <br />Commissioner Berger asked him what the size of Lots 5 and 9 <br />are. He said Lot 5 is about 8,500 square ft. and Lot 8 is about <br />8,000 square ft. <br />Commissioner Berger asked if any plans have been developed for <br />the lots. Mr. Dutchover said that no plans have been developed <br />as yet. <br />Sam Johnson, 313 Del Sol, expressed opposition to the proposed <br />project in that two-story homes would infringe on his view and <br />privacy. He felt if two-story homes are allowed that the value <br />of his home and that of the neighborhood would go down. He <br />noted that 90% of his family's time is spent in the area where <br />their privacy would be inf ringed on. <br />Commissioner Mahern asked when he moved into his home. He said <br />in 1984. <br />Mr. Johnson said a one-story house would give him a view of <br />someone's roof and a two story-house would give a view of a <br />bedroom. He was-not as concerned about building on Lot 9 as on <br />Lot 8. <br />Mary Ann Johnson, 313 Del Sol, also expressed opposition to the <br />project, adding that they had objected in the past and felt they <br />and the neighbors had compromised enough. She asked that <br />two-story homes not be approved. <br />Dennis Peery, 335 <br />and stated that he <br />the original high <br />houses were approve <br />bedrooms would be <br />also diminish. <br />Del Sol, expressed opposition to the project <br />has lived there for li years.
