Commissioner Herger asked <br />retail business. Mr. Godo <br />basically what is considered <br />Chairman Micheletti asked <br />building. He felt this would be <br />compatible with any nearby residential areas. He said the <br />project allows for Iow on-site density. He added that the <br />office building will contain an atrium space. He pointed out <br />the retail buildings on the project model. <br />Stan Heacox, Landscape Architect of San Francisco, stated that <br />he has worked on a number of previous projects in Pleasanton. <br />He showed the existing landscape, noting that about 33" of <br />landscaping would be added to Hopyard Road and Inglewood Drive. <br />He showed the type of trees and flowers to be planted. He <br />described the type of paving to be done. <br />Hob Gorlow returned to the podium. He showed samples of colors <br />and the type of materials to be used in building. He described <br />the glass and windows and the pyramid skylight. <br />Chairman Micheletti asked Mr. Gorlow if <br />regarding the paving. He agreed <br />Micheletti asked if he had any problems <br />requested that they be allowed to <br />Condition b which spoke of tree wells. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />he would work with staff <br />to do that. He <br />work with staff regarding <br />Commissioner Hoyt said he was very pleased with the <br />architectural design and felt a good retail complex would be <br />beneficial to the area. He said overall he was pleased with the project. <br />Commissioner Herger stated she agreed with Commissioner Hoyt's <br />comments, adding that she felt the proposed colors were good and <br />appreciated the increased landscaping. She expressed one <br />concern about landscaping on the back elevation along Chabot <br />Drive and requested the applicant to work with staff regarding <br />that. <br />Commissioner Mahern liked the entire project! her concern was <br />that the project would bring Owens Drive to a level of service D <br />and a .9D. She knew that met the minimum requirement of the PUD <br />and could support the project. However, she was not in favor <br />Page S <br />
