He could not support the application. <br />Chairman Micheiotti expressed concern about a possible parking <br />problem. She felt there was logical concern regarding the <br />safety of bikers to the area. <br />Commissioner Mahern had concerns about traffic; however, she <br />felt they should go by what staff has observed in Concord. She <br />felt the recreational activity was a good one and supported the <br />application. <br />~Jiscussion waas had as to the feasibility of putting a time Limit <br />on the use permit so that it could be reviewed if problems <br />arose. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Hovingh, seconded by <br />Commissioner Mahern that the three required findings have been <br />made and recommending approval of Case UP-88-~7 subject to the <br />conditions of the staff report, and amending Condition No. 3 to <br />allow for review in three years. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE: <br />--------------- <br />A•,'ES: Commissioners Hovingh, Mahern, and Chairman <br />Michelotti <br />l~aOES: Commissioner Tarver <br />AEiSE1VT: Commissioner Berger and Hoyt <br />ABSTAIN: lyone <br />Resolution No. PC-CS-i.^-_5 was entered and adopted approving Case <br />UF'-88-57 as motioned. <br />PUD_@O_2=11 D,,_lCol l _ComQanY <br />Application for design review approval of two five story office <br />buildings, totalling 254,aD0 sq. ft. of floor area to be <br />constructed on an approximately 12.8 acre site located at 6711 <br />Koll Center Parkway. Zoning for the property is PUD iPlanned <br />Unit Development) - Commercial and Offices District. <br />Mr. Quaglia presented the staff report recommending approval of <br />Case F'UD-SD-2-liD. Staff wished to clarify Condition No. I2 and <br />recommended that more f1e~:ibility be allowed in case the <br />applicant gets slowed down by Caltrans. The condition should be <br />expanded to allow far this, subject to final review and approval <br />by the Planning Director. <br />Chairman 1"lichelotti discussed with Mr. Quaglia the traffic <br />situation at the off-ramp on Bernal Avenue. She wondered <br />whether a U-turn would be allowed at Valley and Bernal. <br />Mr. Quaglia said that ultimately a U-turn would be allowed. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Page 7 <br />
