Chairman Michelotti commended the applicant and developer for <br />doing an excellent job on such a sensitive project in the hills. <br />She would have preferred no buildings in the hills, but new it <br />is a necessity. <br />Gommissioner Tarver felt the developer should be extremely <br />careful not to damage the ridge while in the process of building <br />the project. <br />Commissioner Mahern said she thought the developer is being <br />sensitive to the ridge and urged him to continue to do so. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Mahern, seconded by Chairman <br />Michelotti approving Tract 5945, Currin/Timm subject to the <br />conditions of the staff report and engineering report; deleting <br />Conditions No. 16, 30, 35, and modifying Condition 5D to read: <br />Whenever feasible but to the final decision of the City Engineer <br />all horizontal drainage ditches will be constructed on graded <br />benches of sufficient width to allow a maintenance vehicle to <br />straddle the ditch or as otherwise approved by the City <br />Engineer. <br />ROLLCALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Hovingh, Mahern, Tarver, and <br />Chairman Michelotti <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Commissioners Berger and Hoyt <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Resolution No. PC-88-id7 was entered and adopted approving Case <br />Tract 5945 as motioned. <br />NEW_BUSINESS___Public_Hearings <br />UP_A9_-49s_Unclg_Credit_Union <br />Application of Uncle Credit Union for a conditional use permit <br />to establish a credit union branch office to be located at <br />1999-E Santa Rita Road. Zoning for the property is CC (Central <br />Commercial) District. <br />Commissioner Hovingh stepped dawn because of possible conflict <br />of interest. <br />Mr. Swift presented the staff report recommending approval of <br />UP-88-48 subject to conditions of the staff report. <br />Commissioner Tarver asked if there is another financial <br />establishment in the Mission Plaza. Mr. Swift said there is in <br />Valley Plaza. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Cathy Casper, 1989-E Santa Rite Road, represented the <br />application. She concurred with staff conditions, noting that <br />the hours will be 9 to 4 rather than 8 to 4 as shown in the <br />staff report. <br />Page 8 <br />
