ROLL CALL VOTE
AYES: Commissioners Berger, Hovingh, Mahern, Tarver, and
Chairman Michelotti
NOES: None
ABSENT: Commissioner Hoyt
ABSTAIN: None
Resolution No. PC-88-94 was entered and adopted recommending
approval of Case PUD-87-4-2M as motioned.
PUD-88-2, Public Storage, Inc.
Application of Public Storage, Inc. for development plan approval
to construct a four-building, approximately 60,020 sq. ft.
business park complex to be located on an approximately 4 acre
site located at the northeast corner of the intersection of
Stanley Boulevard and Valley Avenue. Zoninq for the property is
PUD (Planned Unit Development) - Industrial District.
Mr. Quaglia presented the staff report recommending denial of
this application.
The public hearing was opened.
John Knott, Public Storage, Dublin, urged approval of the
application.
Chairperson Michelotti asked the overall F.A.R. It was
calculated at 34$.
Mr. Knott said he had checked with both the Police and Fire
Departments and they had no problem with the development.
Mr. Knott stated that they have provided more parking than Code
requires.
Russell Levitt, Traffic Engineer, Planning Consultant for the
project addressed the Commission. Mr. Levitt reviewed the
original rezoning and staff report. He felt the new proposal
will generate less traffic than was assumed in the prezoning.
The public hearing was closed.
Commissioner Berger stated there appears to be conflicting
information with regard to traffic information.
Commissioner Mahern asked staff to elaborate on problems they
have had in other areas of the City with uses. Mr. Swift stated
that many people do not get the required zoning certificate
approval before they set up shop paint shops without spray
booths, for example, get set up without approval in C-S
Districts. Public Storage has indicated that they will have an
on-site manager who will work with staff concerning the issues.
-21-
