ATTACHMENT A <br />City Council Work Plan for 2007-2008 (January 24, 2007 DRAFT) <br />Goals Pro'ect Description <br />AFFORDABLE HOUSING <br />Address Affordable Housing Issues; Where and How to Plan for it <br />Participate in Kottinger Place Task Force Activities Review the potential for redeveloping Kottinger Place and Pleasanton <br /> Gardens. <br />Housing Element Look for opportunities and strategies with future development and/or <br /> new land use policies for continued implementation of the City's <br /> Housing Element. <br />Council Workshop on Affordable Housing Philosophy and Goal Conduct a public City Council Workshop to discuss affordable housing <br /> strategies and opportunities. <br />TRAFFIC <br />Implement Improved Traffic Circulation Measures <br />Alternative BART to Livermore Work with LAVTA and the City of Livermore to explore transit <br /> alternatives to BART that would reduce regional traffic congestion, <br /> including T-BART <br />Tri-Valley Triangle Traffic Study The study looks at regional transportation projects included within the <br /> 1580, 1680 and Route 84 area. The study will prioritize future regional <br /> improvements throughout the tri-valley to minimize future congestion. <br />Traffic Signal Coordination This is an ongoing project to continuously look at ways to improve the <br /> flow of traffic through the City. This could include new traffic signaling <br /> schemes or traffc calming opportunities which enable motorists to <br /> travel with minimum delay or traffic. Some policy issues will be <br /> addressed through the General Plan update. <br />CALLIPPE GOLF COURSE AND HARPY <br />VALLEY OPEN SPACE <br />Complete the Callippe Golf Course, Including a Solution to the Bypass Road <br />Happy Valley Bypass Road "Blue Ribbon Committee" A blue ribbon committee has been established to assess different <br /> bypass road alignments through the Spotorno property. A committee <br /> recommendation is anticipated in 2007. <br />Happy Valley Bypass Road Financing Plan This project would involve the development of various funding options <br /> for the recommended road alignment, including use of debt, cash, or <br /> public/private financing.
