The cost of the new bridge will be shared by Greenbriar (related to
development on the Bernal Property), DeSilva Gates (related to Laguna Oaks),
and the City. (Esp. the East side to soften
the quarry lands)
[JI} Yes, a wider parkway strip can be a requirement for new streets since street
standards are usually determined on a case by case basis for new PUD
developments. In addition, see proposed Program 11.5 which addresses this.
26. Page 10-13, should we mention our new distinctive downtown signage and the signage
for the seasons?
[JI} On page 10-13 the following can be added after the last sentence of the
paragraph under Public Signage: "In Downtown Pleasanton. distinctive new
signs now direct peoDle to additional stores alon$! side streets. It is not
included here as I see it.
[JI} I would consider it to be a distinctive historicalfeature which is considered
to be an icon for Downtown. As noted above, it is included in the list in the Draft
Conservation and Open Space Element.
30. Is there a mention of a historic building, architectural features ordinance?
