10.5 <br /> <br />exclusive of any overtime and shall be in addition to the <br />employee's regular monthly salary. Holiday in lieu pay shall be <br />paid on the first pay day after December 1, and the second <br />installment paid on the first pay day after June 1. Employees in <br />the classification of police clerk, senior police clerk and <br />supervising police clerk shall receive prorated holiday pay upon <br />termination. <br /> <br />Holidays Falling on Saturday, Sunday, Scheduled Day Off <br /> <br />When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be <br />observed; when a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday <br />shall be observed; except that if Christmas Eve Day falls on a <br />Saturday or Sunday the preceding Friday shall be observed. If a <br />holiday falls on an employee's scheduled time off, compensatory <br />time off shall be granted, or, at the option of the employee, <br />compensation at a rate of pay equal to his regular rate of pay for <br />the holiday period shall be granted. <br /> <br />Section 11. VaCations <br /> <br />11.1 <br /> <br />Vacation Eliqibility <br /> <br />Ail employees in the competitive service shall be entitled to <br />annual vacation leave with pay except for the following: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Employees who have served less than six (6) months in the <br />service of the City. <br />Rmployees who work on a provisional or temporary basis and all <br />non regular part-time employees. <br /> <br />11.2 <br /> <br />Vacation Allowance <br /> <br />Effective May 1, 1992, each eligible employee shall accrue vacation <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Years of Continuous Service <br /> <br />Monthly Accrual Rate <br /> <br />First through fourth <br />Fifth through tenth <br />Eleventh through eighteenth <br />Nineteenth and above <br /> <br /> 6.667 <br />10.000 <br />13.334 <br />16.667 <br /> <br />Any employee, except a probationary, or regular part-time employee, <br />may be allowed to incur a forty (40) hour deficit beyond the <br />vacation leave credited to his/her account on his/her anniversary <br />date. A probationary employee may incur a forty (40) hour deficit <br />in vacation after six (6) months full time satisfactory service. <br /> <br />- 12 - <br /> <br /> <br />
