FISCAL IMPACT

There will be no fiscal impact as a result of this project.

CONCLUSION

Staff feels that the architectural style and detailing of the proposed additions would be
compatible with the existing home and other dwellings in this historic Downtown neighborhood.
Regarding the separation variance, staff feels that the site topography and existing pool location
create unique circumstances that restrict the applicants from meeting the separation requirement
for the northern side addition, and prevents the full enjoyment of this property. Staff believes
that the proposed additions would not be overbearing to the adjacent properties, would not
create privacy impacts, nor significantly impact the light, air, open space, and views between
properties. Accordingly, staff continues to support the project as proposed.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends that the City Council deny the appeal and approve Cases PV-153 and PADR-
1536 by taking the actions previously listed on page 2 of this report.

RespectfulIy submitted,

~f I1-

~~

David P.
